As of 7:30pm Monday...
This occured at 5pm. Feel free to look the story up on nbcwashington.com. But I had to post this to ask...wtf? I know the news isn't always on the ball on certain things, but since when has a two-train collision with four fatalities (over a hundred injured) translated to "mechanical difficulties"? That would be like the Holocaust Museum posting on their website that they closed for the rest of the day after the shooting due to "building renovation" in regards to the widows that were hit by stray bullets... My thoughts to out to the families of the victims and my head shakes at Metro for this terrible accident that shouldn't have happened. |

So it's not surprising that one would have a breakdown.
But while that one was waiting for clearance to go into the station, the other one hit it head-on...due to problems with the safety systems.
Just...fail.
My mom told me that when I go back to living in D.C. I have to get on 2-3 cars in from the very front or back and text her when I get where I'm going safely.
Can't say I blame her.
