This was a gift for my mom's mom, aka Mom-Mom.
She wanted a drawing of mine to take home with her after her visit this weekend and when I got to pondering, she suggested "sandcastle" So here's the result! Done in my now-developing tattoo-ish stylings...I wanted to capture the whimsy that comes with building one: being on a beach in the summer, warm in the sun with the sound of waves and just all-around upbeat and bright atmosphere I associate with my trips to Ocean City, MD in my youth. I didn't get a chance to ink it for her, but I will when I go up to visit her sometime soon. |
